"Gerbil"

Brown Classic Tabby & High White

June 9, 2007

His parents are:

GC Moosecoons BB &

CH Stacalone Chinook of Moosecoons

Pedigree

Shilah means "brother" as this gorgeous boy lives with my friend David and is half-brother JT.  When he was a baby before his ears stood up, I took this one picture of him where for all the world he looked like a guinea pig.  Guinea just isn't a flattering word <lol>, so he became Gerbil and the name stuck.  It was fun making his first vet appt, believe me - "You want to bring in your gerbil?" - "No, I have a kitten, his name is Gerbil" - "and what kind of animal is it again?"

How this handsome boy got the nickname "Gerbil" :-)

Anyway, this handsome beast was an undoubted keeper from day one, so I asked David if he wanted Gerbil to live with him as a show boy and he said Oh Yea.  Gerbil has done quite well so far, aside from lovely type, he has his dad's happy-happy show personality and I couldn't be more proud.

Dear boy granded at 9 months, making 5 out of 6 finals that day!  It was a major thrill for David and for me, and I have to thank David for caring for him so well and doing such a great job of grooming and presenting him at the shows.  David went on to show him during the 2008/2009 CFA season to a Regional Win.  Gerbil got a bit jaded with the whole showing thing, keeping a pleasant if bored demeanor, even as hormones kicked in.  Now

we just need to find him a girlfriend to teach him how to use those parts he's been so curious about...

For those who may be curious, Yes, Gerbil has sired a couple of gorgeous litters now and we look forward to more to come!
