Basic info regarding purchase of Kittens, Young adults and Retirees

When I get a "blind inquiry" about kittens, this is my standard first response (below). I care deeply about these little furballs I've brought into the world and like to know about potential homes and new families, so the more information you want to give me the better!

Some basic info and some questions...

The price of a kitten is $1200. They will have had their kitten vaccines and wormings and be vet checked for general health before being released to their new homes. They get their first vaccine at 8 weeks after which I bring them down into the general household and then allow folks to come and play and meet everyone. Meanwhile, I do invite people to come and meet the other critters, who are always happy to have new folks to wave toys around for them :-)

Kittens are sold with a genetic health guarantee and a contract. I live in Westminster MD and I don't ship kittens, so potential owners have to make arrangements pick up their new babies :-)

The reservation on a kitten is $400. If for any reason I have to rescind the availability of your chosen kitten, you will be offered the choice of another kitten or the deposit will be returned, otherwise the deposit is non-refundable.

Young Adults and Retired Breeders/Show cats are priced based on age and special needs if any.

If you would like to proceed with the inquiry, I do have a few questions first: Can you tell me a little more generally about your family and pets and your home. Specifically also, how do you feel about spay and neuter? Do you think cats should be allowed outside or kept strictly in the house? How do you feel about declawing? I know these things are in the application as well, but it's a good place to start a preliminary discussion :-)

Also, before planning a visit, please be sure to read the Rules.  FYI, the critters rule the house, including the decorating scheme, I just try to keep chaos to a vague minimum and pay the bills...
